2003 was one of Derek Jeter's best behind the plate. He batted .324 with a .450 slugging percentage, and an .844 on-base percentage. He also rounded the bases 10 times, hit 25 doubles as well as 3 triples. These numbers put up by Jeter helped lead the Yankees all the way to the 2003 World Series against the Florida Marlins.

This black and silver Louisville Slugger P72 baseball bat was used by Jeter during the Yankees 2003 campaign. The overall bat shows tremendous use from the top of the barrel all the way to the bottom of knob. Multiple ball markings and ball stitch impressions are present on the bat. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs on all sides of the barrel. Cleat impressions can be seen on the front and back barrel. There is a heavy coat of Mota stick on the handle, as well as an impression in the barrel from a batting donut. The bat measures 34" in length, with a weight of 31.1 ounces.

Jeter signed and inscribed this bat in silver marker. "YANKEE CAPTAIN" was inscribed by Jeter beneath his signature. PSA graded this bat a 10 making it one of the finest and most valuable game-used Jeter bats to ever hit the market. A full LOA from PSA accompanies the bat.
